When I Start The Day Playing Records & Eating Cereal
You know that
early morning vibe
you get
stepping outside
after a good nights rest
and looking up to the sky
looking down the block
your day has started
crisp
new
refreshed
you feel great
clinching your fists
like grasping this day and making shit happen
Then there's that
dreadful feeling
stepping out into the light
after a night
carrying on like
the mayor
chillin
pulling an all night bender
with constituents
leaving the cheap hotel room
behind dark sunglasses
clothes smells of yesterdays
cigarettes
alcohol
skin feeling dehydrated
clothes not fresh
socks sweaty
you just wanna bury your head under the pillows
of your own bed
That early morning vibe
one finds themselves in
is important
